The forest society of Hafnarfjörður was celebrating its´ 70th anniversary in 2016. To honour the 70th birthday of the forest, artists, local as well as foreign, have created unique artworks along the paths of Höfðaskógur for all to experience. This impressive outdoor area has been the inspirational source for the artists who work with different mediums.
All the items presented will have a strong connection to the woods. Artists from fields of music, literature, performance, floristry, design and craft have come together and created something magical and mysterious in the forest of Hafnarfjörður.
The project “Listalundur” was originally an idea of Steinar Björgvinsson, the director of the Forest Society of Hafnarfjörður. Isabella Praher, an artist from Austria and Jökull Gunnarsson, an employee of the plant nursery Þöll are keeping track of this event on behalf of the forest society.
